One of the top places on my bucket list has always been this place. I honestly didn’t think I’d be able to tick it off this soon. I was not sure if I was ready for what I wanted to be one of the grandest adventures of my life but then there came an invite and thought to myself, will I ever be prepared for Yosemite? In any case, I did it. I said yes and didn’t care if it was the perfect season or not, if my few days off would suffice to explore, or if I would even have something to wear. I’m glad I did it anyway (that’s an understatement).
I wish this video gave justice to the beauty I’ve witnessed but I know for sure that there’s not enough photos or videos that could do so. Even the postcards and wallpapers (it’s been my wallpaper for years) can’t comprehend to how lovely it is in real life. It feels like the kind of lovely that stops your breathing. It makes you want to stand there in awe for the rest of your life. It makes your heart hurt so good and I’m grateful for having experienced it all — waking up at dawn to see the sunrise, cold morning breeze brushing through my face, walking in the wilderness, taking the difficult road to see the hidden magnificence of nature, chasing waterfalls, and listening to the calmness of the forest. This is a dream come true. This is Yosemite.
